Meet the Williams Brothers: Ghanaian Stars Lighting Up La Liga

Sons of Immigrants, Making Their Mark

WEB Williams, a Ghanaian-born winger, was born in Pamplona to Ghanaian parents who had embarked on a perilous journey across the Sahara Desert to reach Melilla, an autonomous Spanish city. WEB Inaki and Nico Williams, WEB's sons, traveled to Bilbao from Ghana with their mother, Maria Arthuer, and father, Felix Williams, hoping that the city would provide a better life for their children. And indeed, it has.

Overcoming Adversity, Achieving Success

Born in Bilbao to Ghanaian parents who had crossed the Sahara on foot and scaled the Melilla border fence to reach Spain, WEB Williams' story is one of resilience and determination. His parents, Maria and Felix Williams, left Accra in 1993, embarking on a perilous 4,000-kilometer overland journey to provide a better future for their family.

WEB's sons, Inaki and Nico Williams, have inherited their father's athleticism and passion for football. They have both risen through the ranks of Athletic Bilbao's academy, becoming key players for the Basque club. Inaki has earned international recognition, representing Spain at the international level.

The Williams brothers are not just talented football players; they are also role models for immigrants and refugees worldwide. Their story shows that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
