The Second Battle of Copenhagen, also known as the Bombardment of Copenhagen, took place from August 16 to September 7, 1807. It was a British bombardment of the Danish capital.

Battle of Copenhagen (1801)

The Battle of Copenhagen, fought from August 15 to September 7, 1801, was an engagement in the Napoleonic Wars. The British feared that Napoleon's defeat of Russia and Prussia might lead to an alliance with Denmark, which would threaten their control of the Baltic Sea. To prevent this, they launched a surprise attack on Copenhagen.

Edward the Elder's Campaign into the Danelaw

In 912, Edward the Elder, King of Wessex, began a series of campaigns to advance into the Danelaw, Danish territory in England. These campaigns continued until 927, when Edward had conquered the entire Danelaw and established English rule over the region.
