Boston Takes Early Lead, Survives Pacers Rally in Overtime

The Boston Celtics narrowly defeated the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Eastern Conference playoffs on Saturday night. Despite building a 12-0 lead to start the game, the Celtics faced a tough challenge from the Pacers, who battled back behind strong performances from Turner Haliburton and Tyrese Haliburton.

Jaylen Brown led the scoring for the Celtics with 40 points, followed by Jayson Tatum with 34 points and 19 rebounds. Haliburton led the Pacers with 35 points and 13 assists, while Myles Turner added 28 points.

The Pacers shot a high percentage from the field (53.5%), but the Celtics managed to pull away in overtime thanks to key plays from Tatum and Marcus Smart. The Celtics now take a 1-0 lead in the series, which continues with Game 2 in Boston on Monday night.
